Minutes of Henllanfallteg Community Association held on December 5th 2007 in the Millennium Hall at 7.30 pm

Present Myrddin Pynn, in the chair, Mike Calvert, Dave King, Eve Edwards, Elaine Pynn, Josie Thomas, John Spencer, Peter Icke, Mike Oliver. 

Apologies Eve Edwards, Mike Hermitage.
A tribute was paid to John (Meander) Edwards, a keen supporter of all village events, and particularly the Millennium Hall. Condolences were passed to Eve our secretary with a card from the members.

Minutes The minutes of the November meeting were received and approved.

Matters Arising from the Minutes
Mr Icke volunteered to investigate the distribution of low energy light bulbs, with view of placing details in the next January newsletter.

Future events
Boxing day Walk – 10 AM outside the Millennium Hall.
Community Council open meeting re 1st time sewerage scheme application.
History Society slide show on local History Wed January 16th. In the main room.
Horse race night – March 08 to finalise
Whitland Choir   Date to fix sometime in 08 to suit them.

Hall Bookings

Past Events
£42 raised at Grease sing along evening.
Children in need evening raised £165.
An excellent bingo evening raised £205.
. Film Society reported on very poor attendances over September to now. Rugby world cup had a big influence and Sunday night showings clashed with Narberth film Society.  Program to continue to Jan, and then reviewed and maybe reduced to once per month, with maybe matinees.

Hall maintenance and decoration works.
Outside stone work painting to be considered for next summer – acquire quotes and place an order over the winter period. DK to prepare a specification for the works required.
Window survey to be carried out to identify failed seals, and then to be actioned
Main room floor cleaning – industrial cleaner needed.

Finance

.CC Funding imitative
£700 has been awarded to the History Society to assist in their research and archiving efforts, and £1300 to the Playing field for replacement of part of the fencing and gates.

Other Matters
Hall brochure to be updates. DK/Jamie to look at this.
Nest newsletter was Jan 08.
Past minutes to be put in a display folder in the corridor.
