Minutes of Henllanfallteg Community Association held on March 7th 2007 in the Millennium Hall at 7.30 pm
Present Josie Thomas, Myrddin Pynn, Mike Calvert, Mike Hermitage, Gary MacKenzie,
Bruce Jackson,John Spencer & Peter Icke.
Apologies Dave King, Eve Edwards, Stella Loader.
The meeting was proceeded by a joint Fete Committee meeting.
Minutes The minutes of the February meeting were received and approved.
Matters Arising from the Minutes
Electrical Tests had not yet been done.
Fire Extinguishers, These were checked on 14th February.
Correspondence
Trinity College information to be put in the corridor.
Smoking Ban. The committee were reminded of the new rules and penalties coming into force on 2 April.
CAVs. Information to be passed to the Secretary.
Future events

Choir No further information.

Junior Football KO Competition No further information.

Antique Road Show. No date had yet been fixed.

AGM 2nd May. Josie signalled her intention to stand down as chair but to remain on the committee. Myrdd expressed a willingness to stand as chair.

Open Gardens Sunday July 1st. No new garden owners had put their names forward.

Walks There would be an Easter Monday Walk on 9th April.

Fete July 21st. It was agreed that this year the Association would only take 50% of the proceeds of the Fete leaving 50% in the hands of the Park Trustees for maintenance and insurance costs etc.

Village Trip 5th August. It was agreed that the Association would pay the full costs of transport but families would have to pay for any entrance fees. Some suggestions had been received from members of the public. Committee members were asked to consider the following and any others before the April meeting :

St Fagans & Castell Coch. Dinefwr & Llandeilo. St Davids, Castell Henllys and Whitesands Bay.
Hall Bookings
The new dance group wanted to hold a ceilidh in the hall on a Saturday night. It was agreed that the fee should be £20 and an extra £5 if the kitchen was used.
Past Events
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Singalong Friday March 2nd. 43 people had attended and £43 raised.
Grease was being considered for the next singalong.
Hall maintenance and decoration works.
It was decided to hold the next Maintenance Day on Sunday April 1st at 10 am.
Finance
There was £8,048.56 in the deposit account and £1197.50 in the current account.
Other Matters
It was decided to have a message board in the kitchen for committee, staff and hall users.
It was decided to keep a small supply of tea, coffee and sugar in the kitchen.
The meeting closed at 8.45 pm.
