Llanfallteg Memorial Playing Field Association
A Meeting of Trustees was held at the Plash Inn at 7.30pm on 3rd October 2006.
Present were Dave King, Jeff Beattie, Don Loader, Myrddyn Pynn, Christine Young and Peter Icke
Apologies were received from Alan Waters and George Rainbow.
The Minutes were received and signed as a correct record.
Arising from the Minutes
a Hedge - the hedge adjoining Arthur’s had been cut back. It was agreed that thanks be expressed to Peter Scolfield and Mike Bearman for their help.
b Toddler Area - Bigfoot had promised to install the equipment in the week beginning 9th October.
The Community Council had given a grant of £500. The Community Association had given a grant of £1500 and a loan of £2000.
More safety bark would be required.
c Gift Aid - The scheme had been started.
d Fete - We had had a successful and enjoyable Fete and the profit was a record £1636.29.
e Land Registry - The Park had been registered for £40.
f Residual Trustee - The Charity Commissioner was the Residual Trustee.
g Swings - New seats had been purchased.
Finance
The Treasurer reported £6122.97 in the current account and £565.26 in the deposit account. The Duck Race had raised £216 which had been given to the Football Club.
Maintenance
John Edwards had kindly done some mowing in the summer.
Fence
Tony Hillier had cleared the rubbish from the fence nearest his bungalow and was proposing to erect a wooden fence along the bottom side nearest the river.
Other Business
a Annual Return for the Charity Commissioners needed completing.
b Don Loader raised the need for officers to keep Trustees informed of Park matters including in particular the raising of a loan.
c The chain link fencing needed attention.
The meeting closed at 8.40pm.
