Minutes of Henllanfallteg Community Association held on November 7th 2007 in the Millennium Hall at 7.30 pm

Present  Myrddin Pynn, in the chair, Mike Calvert, Dave King, Eve Edwards, Elaine Pynn, Josie Thomas, John Spencer, Peter Icke, Mike Hermitage  .

Apologies 

Minutes  The minutes of the October meeting were received and approved subject to the following changes;

Add ref  fire alarm          All groups and users to be reminded of the escape routes and muster point to be near the phonebox outside. DK to action update.

Treasurers report – clarification to note on project Support was a refund from Community Council re Volunteers Insurance.

Matters Arising from the Minutes
Craft Circle was now up and running.

Correspondence
. CCC – Licencing 2007 changes survey.

Crime and Disorder Survey

CAVS monthly circular – AGM on Nov 15th.

Stage 
On going. After Bingo night.

Future events
Children in Need night arrangements finalised.

Prize Bingo        Sat 24th November arrangements finalised.

Boxing day Walk Arranged for 10.00 at Millennium Hall. Route dependant on weather conditions.

History Society slide show on local History Wed January 16th. Will need main room.

Horse race night – March 08 to finalise

Whitland Choir   have been asked for a date sometime in 08 to suit them.

Llanboidy Choir to be invited in 2008.

Welsh evening Classes had terminated due to lack of support. Afternoon sessions continuing.

Hall Bookings
None

Past Events
Night out evening – good turn out. Last song was best. Broke even on cost.

Film Society request for payments to be waived for night where there were no viewers was agreed.

Hall maintenance and decoration works.
Outside stone work painting to be considered for next summer – acquire quotes and place an order over the winter period. DK to prepare a specification for the works required.
Windows needed cleaning. Some of double glazed units noted to of failed.

Main room floor needed scrubbing.

Rates demand – letter send re our appeal on Oct 4th and 8th.

Bluestone caravans invoice for newsletter sponsorship outstanding.

Refund requested for overpayment made on invoice for mop heads sanctioned at last meeting.

 

Other Matters
CAVS had low energy light bulbs by the boxful to give away. To be promoted in next newsletter
