Life Goal Overview

To take part in a triathlon race and complete it regardless of time and placement.

What inspired me to do this?

In 2008 / 2009 I was a member of the Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club and began to understand the sport of triathlon. I received numerous support from other club members but never had the chance to take part in the club triathlon race due to moving away.
I therefore hope to take part in the Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club Annual Triathlon once I have completed my Swimming Life Goal and Running Life Goal.

Planning & Details

The Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club Annual Triathlon is a 400 metre swim, 15.8k bike and a 3.1k run and is aimed at all ages from novice to veterans. It's a great opportunity for anyone looking to give it a go and see what triathlon's are all about.

I firstly aim to complete my Swimming Life Goal and Running Life Goal's which will bring my fitness and endurance in-line with the expectations of a triathlon race. My cycling skills are very reasonable but I may re-join the club in the 12 months before the race to fine tune my swimming, running and cycling as well as my transition.

At the time of writing this I have little faith in being able to complete a triathlon race, though I fancy the challenge of putting myself right out of my comfort zone and setting high expectations in reaching the finish.

Who can get involved?
